  MARIAM E. DEAL
  
    Mariam E. (Nellie) Deal, 87, of Salisbury died Jan. 29 at home. She was
  born Oct. 29, 1888, in Lonaconing, Md., daughter of the late Herman and
  Elizabeth (Rushton) Reiber and was preceded in death by her husband,
  Lester, and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Schrock.
    She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Shumaker, Salisbury; and
  three sons: Clyde and LeRoy, both of Salisbury, and Earl of Friedens; three
  brothers: George, Akron, Ohio; Harry, Cumberland; and Walter of Meyersdale;
  five sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Garlitz of Greensburg; Mrs. Irene Hawn of New
  Salem; Mrs. Edith Hickson and Mrs. Martha Brown, both of Salisbury; and
  Mrs. Katherine Miller of Damascus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; eight
  great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, where
  services were held Feb. 1, the Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating.
  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery in charge of Thomas Funeral Home.
