Deaner, 12, of Berlin RD 3, died Dec. 12, 1988 in Brothersvalley Township. He was born Feb. 1, 1976 in Somerset, son of Lynn and Marjorie (Vaughan) Deaner. Survived by parents and brother Douglas Levi; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Harriet (Meyers) Vaughan, of Berlin; and paternal grandparents, Richard E. and Emma Grace (Coleman) Deaner, Berlin RD 3. He was a seventh-grade honor student at Berlin Brothersvalley School. He attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, where he served as acolyte and was a member of the confirmation class. He was a former Cub Scout and was a second-class scout in Troop 135, Berlin. He was a member of Snyder's Little League Baseball Team and junior high football team. He played saxophone in the junior high band and was an avid pianist. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing at Trinity United Church of Christ from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. on Friday, the Rev. Carl W. Schwarm officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. It is suggested that memorials be given to Trinity United Church of Christ in Danny's name for scholarships to Living Waters Church Camp. Daily American, December 13, 1988 [D0267]
