Deaner, 73, of 3037 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, died Oct. 11, 1996, at Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center. Husband of Mary Ellen Teat Deaner of Willow Street. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Taylor-Ruffner Funeral Home, 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon, at 10 a.m. Oct. 16, 1996. Deaner had been a self-employed carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a private first class. He was also a musician and had played guitar with the Red Ross Ramblers. Born in Bell, Somerset County, he was the son of the late Chalmer E. and Bessie (Getz) Deaner. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Duane D., Philadelphia, and Tab R., Leola; one daughter, Kathleen J. Baldwin, Landisville; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Jean Plummber, Gray. Daily American, October 21, 1996 [D0269]
