  Ferne E. Deaner
  
  Mrs. Ferne E. Deaner, 65, of Somerset died Jan. 21, 1978 in Windber
  Hospital.  She was born Oct. 10, 1912 in Brothersvalley Township and was a
  daughter of Harvey and Matilda (Hoffman) Pritts.  She was preceded in death
  by her husband, Earl Davis; one son; three sisters; and one brother.  She is
  survived by these children: Robert Davis, Gloria Davis, Kay, wife of Joseph
  Slope, and Guy H. Davis, all of Somerset; five grandchildren; and these
  sisters: Mrs. Luella Dickey, Mrs. Jennie Wise and Mrs. Reed (Alma) Miller,
  all of Somerset.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ,
  member of the Women's Guild and the Young at Heart.  Friends are being
  received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where funeral services will
  be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Shellenberger
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
