DEANER 

Mary Olive "Ollie" Deaner, 83, of Stoystown, died Sept. 12, 1983, in Somerset 
Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 19, 1900, in Bedford County, daughter of George 
P and Maggie (Cook) Deaner.  Preceded in death by parents, sister, Effie, 
brother, Harry, and twin brother, John H.  Survived by nieces, Mrs. Irene 
Mowry, of Shellsburg RD 1; Mrs. Alvie (Faye) Diehl, Manns Choice RD 1; and 
nephew, Charles R. Deaner, Stoystown.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of 
Christ, Stoystown and Women's Guild; Forbes Area Senior Citizens, Somerset 
AARP-Laurel Highlands Chapter No. 13.  Associated with Deaner Funeral Home.  
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Deaner 
Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, 
the Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh, officiating.  Interment, Shellsburg Cemetery.  If 
friends desire, contributions may be given to Stoystown Charge of the United 
Church of Christ.
