Mr. Decker had been in ill health for some time, but his condition was not considered serious. He was a son of the late Willis and Mary (Burkholder) Decker. He was born December 1, 1887, and had lived in the vicinity of Garrett all his life. He is survived by his wife, Cora (Bockes) Decker, and twelve children: Clarence and Kenneth, living in Akron, Ohio; Paul, Salisbury; Wilma Decker Boyer, Allen Jr., Blanche, Elwood, Melvin, Harry, Harold, Bruce and Pauline; also two brothers, William and Webster, Garrett; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin Gnagey, Garrett, and Mrs. Harry Stevanus, St. Paul. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Center Lutheran Church, of which he was a life-long member, Rev. H. K. Hilner of the Meyersdale Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be made in the Center Church Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. Meyersdale Republican, February 5, 1948
