Decker, 68, Meyersdale RD 3, died Jan. 29, 1982, at his home. He was born May 9, 1913, in Garrett, a son of the late Allen and Cora (Bockes) Decker. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Harry; and a sister, Margaret Shaffer. He is survived by his widow, the former Luella Johnson; and these children: Danny, Kent, Ohio; Wilbur, Lakewood, Ohio; Margaret, wife of Roy Vena, Meyersdale; Betty, wife of Joseph Drake, Pensacola, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was a brother of Harold, Allen, Melvin, Elwood, Paul, and Wilma, wife of Ralph Boyer, all of Garrett; Blaine, Ravenna, Ohio; Bruce, Barberton, Ohio; and Pauline, wife of Buy Baer, Meyersdale. He was a member of Center Lutheran Church; retired coal miner; member of Brooklyn Hunting Club. Friends were received in the Leckemby Funeral Home. Services were held at the Center Lutheran Church with Interim Pastor Marsha Anderson officiating. Interment, church cemetery. The Republic, February 4, 1982 [D0300]
