  CAROL B. DEEM
  
    Carol B. Deem, 49, of Mary St., Somerset, died Oct. 23, 2000, at Johns
  Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md.  Born Oct. 5, 1951, in Somerset.  Daughter
  of Donald Beggs and the late Dorothy (Hoover) Beggs.  Survived by her
  husband of 27 years, Dale W.; a son, Adam N., at home; a step-mother,
  Patricia (Keim) Beggs, of Somerset; and a stepsister, Laura Shubert of
  Pittsburgh. She was a 1969 graduate of Somerset Area High School.  She
  received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from
  Shippensburg University and she was a former medical office manager for the
  late Edward N. Pell, M.D. of Somerset.  She attended Berlin Brethren
  Church.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Owen Preston and Rev. Robert Hoffman
  officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Berlin Brethren Church Window Fund of the
  Humane Society of Somerset County.
