  Laverne L. (Pratt) Deem, 89, of Akron, Ohio, died May 20, 2002 in Akron. 
  Born July 31, 1912 in Meyersdale, daughter of Francis Patrick and Anastasia
  (Broderick) Pratt.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Walter
  Deem, Aug. 6, 1986; brothers Frank, Tom, James, Joseph, George and Willie;
  and sisters Mary, Loretta, Genevieve, Rose and Veronica.  Survived by sons
  Charles P. and wife Marie of St. Louis, Mo. and Thomas J. and wife Billie
  of Mogadore, Ohio.  Also seven grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
  and 10 until service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Deaner Funeral Home,
  Berlin.  Committal service will follow at the Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
