Wilbur "Porky" Deem Sr., 75, of Berlin RD 3, died June 21, 1994, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 5, 1918, in Grantsville, Md. Son of Joseph and Clara (Colflesh) Deem. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Harold, Fred, Walter, Clyde and Raymond, and sister, Mabel Walker. Survived by his wife, the former Mildred Ackerman; children: Joseph and Jodi, both at home; stepchildren: Ella Leasure, Frostburg, Md,; William Hutchinson Jr., Meyersdale; Bonnie Weimer, Somerset, and Paul Hutchinson, Cincinnati, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas and Zachary Leasure. Also children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to a previous marriage. Brother of Mary Walker, Berlin RD 3; Robert, Clifton Springs, New York, and Jean Romesberg, Hyndman. Retired from Solar Fuel Company. World War II Army veteran. Attended Main Street Brethren Church, Meyersdale. Member of the Berlin American Legion, VFW and the Meyersdale L.O.O.M Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev.
