Deeter, 67, of 260 Baird Road, Edinburg, formerly of Fairhope Township died of a heart attack Tuesday at Jameson Memorial Haspital [sic] where she had been a patient for three days. She was born April 29, 1922 in Fairhope Township, daughter of Clarence and Ella (Miller) Emerick, moved to Edinburg in 1955. Member of the Roxbury Lutheran Church. Survived by husband, John O. Deeter Sr., whom she married April 10, 1940; mother, Ella Hall of Cumberland, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Jack McConahy, of Edinburg; a son, John O. Jr., at home; four half sisters; Mrs. Rose Gormer, Mrs. Viola Bolden, Mrs. Betty Ludy, Mrs. Mary Jane Hartge, all in Pennsylvania; five half brothers; Clarence Emerick, James Emerick, John Emerick, all in Pennsylvania; Daniel Grenke and Albert Grenke, both of Cumberland; Two grandchildren; a son, Larry C. Deeter, who is deceased. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, BERLIN, where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Daily American, June 7, 1989 [D0333]
