    Mabel Alice Deeter, 99, of Church of the Brethren Home, formerly of Russell 
  Ave., Johnstown, died Jan. 23, 1986 at Lee Hospital.  Born Dec. 29, 1886, in 
  Bedford County, daughter of Thomas B. and Fannie (Berkey) Reininger.  Preceded 
  in death by parents; husband, Simon Elmer; and sister Anna M. Moore.  Survived 
  by nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.  Friends 
  will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John Henderson Co. 
  Funeral Home, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. William 
  Thwing officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
