Deeter of Fairhope RD1 was killed in an accident on his farm shortly after noon Monday. He was 75. Coroner Wilbur D. Miller said that Mr. Deeter was driving a tractor when it went over an embankment. He was thrown from the tractor, which then ran over him, coroner Miller said. The victim was placing fence posts at the time of the accident. Coroner Miller pronounced Mr. Deeter dead at 1 p.m. at the scene of the accident. An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning at Somerset Community Hospital in an effort to determine the cause of death.
