  DEIST
  
    Harry Deist, Sr., 74, Berlin, died suddenly Dec. 28, at home.
    He was born Sept. 4, 1901, in Brothersvalley Township, a son of the late
  Henry and Susan (Meyers) Deist.
    He was preceded in death by son Herbert.
    Survived by his wife, the former Mildred M. McKenzie and these children:
  Charles, Berlin; Harry Jr., Blairsville; Mrs. James (Shirley) Rotnen, Avon,
  Ohio; Mrs. John (Ruth) Kelly; Dillen, Mont.; Mrs. Gary (Karen) Norris,
  Berlin; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Clara Engleka, Berlin; Mrs. Raymond (Nellie) Sarver,
  Berlin; Mrs. Mildred Carver, Berlin; Mrs. Leon (Evelyn) McQuade, Fairhope;
  and Ralph, Heightsville, Md.
    Services were conducted Dec. 31 in Johnson and Son Funeral Home, the Rev.
  Charles W. Sigler officiating.  Interment in the Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
