Deist, 78, Lakemore, Ohio, passed away Dec. 15, 1998. Born July 19, 1920, in Salisbury, son of Charles H. and Mary Deist. Mr. Deist retired from Kenmore Construction as a foreman. He was a veteran of World War II. Member of the Army Navy Club, V.F.W. and the Mogadore Moose Lodge. Survivors include his son, Barry L. Deist; sisters: Helen Gilkes and Ginny Holsberry; brothers: Bill Deist, Jim Deist, Bob Deist and Dwayne Deist; also by his dog and best friend, Cappy. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Lee, his twin, and Wayne Deist. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Farley Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Berlin, Pa. If desired, contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
