MARTHA DEIST

  Mrs. Martha (Miller) Deist, 58, wife of Frank W. Deist, died at their home 
near Glade City, at noon, Friday, August 6.  A daughter of the late Lewis and 
Barbara (Bowser) Miller, she was born in Summit Township July 26, 1886.  She is 
survived by these children: Mrs. Bessie Pritts and Lewis Deist, Meyersdale; 
Walter Deist, Waynesboro, Ohio; Margaret Deist, at home, and Mrs. Geraldine 
Augustine, Brotherton.  Also surviving are a brother, William Miller, 
Meyersdale; a sister, Mrs. William Baker, Meyersdale; a half sister, Mrs. Merle 
Hay, a half brother, Howard Werner, and her step-father, Simon Werner, 
Meyersdale, R.D.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
  She was a member of the Main Street Brethren Church, where the funeral 
services were held Monday at 2:00; with Rev. Ward ...*...man.  Burial in Union 
Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, mortician.
