  DEIST
  
    Mildred M. Deist, 88, of Berlin RD 1 died June 21, 1993, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Oct. 14, 1904, in Avilton, Md.  Daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
  Charles McKenzie.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry Deist Sr.;
  six brothers and five sisters.  Also two grandsons.  Survived by these
  children: Charles, married to the former Dorothy Weyand, and Harry Jr.,
  married to the former Helen Engle, both of Berlin; Mrs. James (Shirley)
  Rotnem of Avon, Ohio; Mrs. John (Ruth) Kelly, Dillon, Mont., and Mrs. Gary
  (Karen) Norris, with whom she resided; 17 grandchildren, 21
  great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.  Retired from
  Somerset Hospital.  Member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church,
  Macdonaldton.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where rosary
  service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be
  held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, the Rev. James
  Bunn officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial contributions
  may be given to the American Heart Association or St. Gregory's Catholic
  Church.
