  DEIST
  
    Neil Richard Deist, 16, of Meyersdale, died Sept. 9, 1997, at Conemaugh
  Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Aug. 12, 1981, in Cumberland,
  Md.  Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Cloyd B. Deist, and
  brother, Kirk Richard Deist.  Survived by his parents, Richard and Mary Ann
  (Fike) Deist; paternal grandmother, Thelma J. Deist; paternal
  great-grandmother, Nora M. Lottig, and maternal grandparents, Walter M.
  "Hank" and Mary Elizabeth Fike.  Member of the sophomore class at
  Meyersdale Area High School where he was a member of the varsity soccer
  team.  An active member of the AYSO since the age of five.  Also an avid
  bow hunter and a motocross rider.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Service will be
  conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with
  Pastor Randy L. Haulk and Pastor Al Valentine officiating.  Interment,
  Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.  Memorials may take the form of contributions
  to the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church.
