  Vera S. "Dollie" Deist
 
  Vera S. "Dollie" Deist, 93, Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died April 25,
  2004, at The Patriot.  Born May 14, 1910, in Berlin, daughter of Jacob and
  Ella (Stevanus) Sarver.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Leonard
  Deist October 1965; sister, Olive Jones, and infant sister, Madie Sarver;
  and brothers, Edgar, Robert, and Glenn.  Survived by a brother Richard
  Sarver, North Versailles, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was
  linotype operator for the former Berlin Printing Co., and was an employee of
  the former Naugle Feed Store in Berlin.  Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Berlin, where she was a former choir member and officer in several
  groups.  Member of Valley Grange, Berlin Senior Citizens, and Berlin
  Historical Society.  She volunteered at the former Maple Mountain Manor, and
  Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will
  be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.  The Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.  
  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to
  Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 Main St. Berlin, Pa.  15530.
