  WALTER N. DEIST
  
    Walter N. Deist, 73, of Magnolia, Ohio, was pronounced dead on arrival
  September 5 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, after suffering a heart
  attack in his home.  He was a farmer.
    Born in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Frank and Martha (Miller)
  Deist.  He was a member of the Magnolia United Methodist Church and Magnolia
  Grange.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Edna Mimna, to whom he had been
  married 52 years; a son and a daughter, Verl of Waynesburg, Ohio, and Mrs.
  Richard (Joan) Saunier of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Augustine
  of Meyersdale; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
    Private services were held in McCreery-Finefrock Funeral Home with the
  Rev. Paul Beal officiating.
    Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
