DEITLE Mrs. Minnie Sophie Deitle died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Godfrey Meerbach, of Elk Lick Township Wednesday, November 30. She had been in ill health for about three years since the death of her husband, Herman W. Deitle, December 25, 1946. She was born in Greenville Township on August 7, 1872 and was aged 77 years, 3 months and 23 days. She was a daughter of the late Josias and Dora (Altmiller) Sperry. She is survived by five sons: George, Charles and Walter Deitle of Akron, Ohio; James Deitle of Dunlo and Frank Wagner of Canton, Ohio; by three daughters; Mrs. Mary Merrbach, Route 1, Salisbury; Mrs. Ida Clark, Ravenna, Ohio and Mrs. Margaret Beutel, New Philadelphia, Ohio; by two sisters; Mrs. Flossie Kidner, Meyersdale and Mrs. Lily Monahan, Frostburg, Md.; by five brothers; Harry Sperry, Frostburg, Md.; Benjamin Sperry, Meyersdale; Palmer Sperry, Zihlman, Md.; George Sperry, Connellsville and Melvin Sperry, McKeesport; and 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Thomas Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, with her pastor, the Rev. Ira S. Monn, St. John's Reformed Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Greenville Cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, December 8, 1949
