Stuart Delbrook 74, of Corriganville, Md., formerly of Mount Savage, died Dec. 6, 1995, at Berlin Hospital, Berlin, Md. Delbrook was born Dec. 11, 1920, at Mount Savage. He was the son of the late Harry H. and Viola M. (Shaffer) Delbrook. He us survived by his wife of 51 years, Wilma C. (Smearman) Delbrook; three sons: Edward A. Delbrook, West Palm Beach, Fla.; David R. Delbrook, Montpelier, Vt.; and Denis L. Delbrook, at home; a daughter, Janet E. Day, and her husband, Stephen, Larchmont, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Lori Nutter, Mark Delbrook, Amy Delbrook, Catherine Day and Michael Day; a great-granddaughter; and an aunt Alverta Shaffer, Hyndman RD 1. Delbrook was retired from the Soil Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and wa the owner and operator of the Delbrook family farm for over 30 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cumberland, Md., where he was president of the congregation. He was a member of the Allegany County Farm Bureau and was the organization's president for eight years. Delbrook was also a past president of Friends Al-Gar Federal Credit Union. Friends were received Dec. 9 at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman. Services were conducted Dec. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cumberland, with Rev. Larry Goetz officiating.
