DeLozier died Wednesday morning at her home in Glencoe, following an illness of a year's duration. Born Jan. 21, 1873, she was a daughter of Frank F. and Mary (Walker) Petry. Surviving are her husband and the following children: Fred W. and G. Albert of Connellsville; Mrs. D. A. Smith, Boswell; Mrs. James Ludy, Berlin; W. G. and Arthur DeLozier, of Cumberland; and Mrs. John Hartman of Glencoe. Two brothers, William and Frank Petry, of Salisbury, also survive. She was a member of the Glencoe Reformed Church, where services will be held at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, by her pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in charge of Johnson & Son, Berlin morticians. Meyersdale Republican, November 22, 1945 ---- EMMA PETRY DELOZIER Emma Petry DeLozier, wife of George G. DeLozier, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Hartman, Glencoe, Pa., Wednesday morning, Nov. 21st, after an illness of almost a year. She was born at Lonaconing, Md., Jan. 21, 1873, and was aged 72 years and 10 months. She was a daughter of Frank and Mary (Walker) Petry. In her infancy her parents moved to Salisbury, Pa., where they lived the remainder of their lives. She grew to womanhood in Salisbury and lived there until her marriage to George G. DeLozier 46 years ago. She is survived by her husband and seven children - Fred W. and G. Albert of Connellsville; Alma, wife of D. A. Smith, Boswell; Mary, wife of J. W. Hartman, Glencoe; W. Gerber, Cumberland; Arthur A., Hyndman, and Emma, wife of James Ludy, Berlin. One son, Frank Howard, preceded her in death by a number of years. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank H. and William A. Petry of Salisbury, 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two grandsons, who are serving their country, Chester A. Smith, S 1/c, stationed in the New Hebrides Islands, and 1st Sgt. James E. Hartman, in Atsuga, Japan - could not attend their grandmother's funeral. In her early girlhood she united with the Reformed Church at Salisbury and held her membership there until after taking up her residence in Glencoe in 1910, when she moved her membership to the Glencoe Reformed Church, of which she remained a faithful member always attending Sunday school and church services until her health failed and she was unable to attend. She was also a Charter member of the Ladies Aid Society. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, Nov. 24th, in the Glencoe Reformed Church at 2 o'clock, by her pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Interment was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson & Son, Berlin morticians. Meyersdale Republican, December 6, 1945
