Deneen, 93, of Hyndman, died Aug. 10, 1994 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born Nov. 12, 1900 in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Annie (Grine) Baer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Deneen, on Nov. 21, 1966; two sons, Walter and Leonard Deneen; two daughters, Lois Smith and Anna Meyers; two grandchildren, Leroy and Esther Kay Deneen; three brothers and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Violet A. Shroyer, RD 1 Buffalo Mills, Pa., and by five sons: Leroy M. Deneen, Hyndman RD 1; Bruce T. Deneen, Las Vegas, Nev.; Richard D. Deneen and Robert C. Deneen, both of Hyndman; and Clarence J. Deneen, Fairhope RD 1. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She had worked at the Celanese Corporation plant in Cumberland during WWII. She was a member of the Christian Holiness Church and the Hyndman Senior Citizens. She was a past president and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hyndman Volunteer fire Company and the Forget-Me-Not Rebekah Lodge, formerly of Hyndman. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Aug. 12. Services were conducted at the funeral home Aug. 13, with Pastor Harry T. Ryan officiating. Interment, Hyndman.
