    Russell D. Denner, 73, of Friedens RD 2 died July 12 in his residence. 
  Born Dec. 29, 1899, in Stoneycreek Twp. a son of Edward and Lizzie Trent
  Denner.  Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Clyde.  Survived by
  wife, the former Estella Watkins; two sons, Ray, at home, and Eddie C.,
  Friedens RD 2; two grandchildren, Suzan and Eddie L.; one brother, Frank of
  Stoystown RD 3.  He was a retired Stoneycreek Twp. farmer and a member of
  the Shanksville United Methodist Church.  Death ends a marriage union of 53
  years.  Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m.
  Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Charles R. Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown and until noon Sunday when remains will be removed to
  the Shanksville United Methodist Church to lie in state from 1 p.m.
  until services at 2 p.m.,  Rev. Marlin A. Miller officiating. 
  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
