She was a graduate of Temple University in the field of laboratory technology. She received a master's degree in public administration from California State University, Fullerton. Mrs. Denney lived in San Marino, Calif., from 1956 to 1976, during which time she and her husband, John L. Denney, raised their three children. She had been a resident of Santa Barbara for the last 20 years and worked as a laboratory technologist at the Samson Medical Clinc. A member of the Sierra Club, she was an active champion of local environmental issues. She loved to play the French horn and was a member of the Prime Time Band in Santa Barbara. She will be remembered as the beloved mother of Susan, Carol and Stephen, and the grandmother of Micael and Rachael White. A memorial service will be held Nov. 7.
