She had been in failing health for several years. Born in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Solomon H. and Kate (Merrill) Brode Sr. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Ladies Aid Society of the Church, and the Frostburg Homemakers Club. Surviving are her husband, L. Clayton Dennison; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ewing and Mrs. Edith Delaney, Frostburg, Md.; one son, Earl Dennison, Wheaton, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Eisel, Frostburg, Md.; three brothers, Thomas Brode, LaVale, Md.; Joseph Brode, Berlin; and James Brode, Frostburg, Md.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-children. Friends were received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. George L. Wehler officiating. Interment in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers were William Ewing, Raymond Ewing, Kenneth Ewing, Gerald Dennison, John Stakem and A.J. Smith. The Republic, September 7, 1978 [D0452]
