    Helen DePhillips, 89, Berlin, formerly of Somerset, passed on Dec. 10, 2007, at Meadow
  View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Sept. 16, 1918, in Stonycreek Township, the daughter of
  the late George and Mary (Simko) Tokar. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John
  DePhillips, in 1989; infant son, George; son, Ronald DePhillips; brothers, John and
  William Tokar; and sisters, Julie Malak, Elizabeth Finigan and Margaret Golembeski. She
  is survived by her son, Terry DePhillips and wife, Sandra, Berlin; and daughters, Mary
  Ann Sarver and husband, John, Somerset; and Carol Gardner, Berlin; grandchildren, Holly
  Cheung, Terry Scott DePhillips, Laurel Coca, Melissa Russo, Dawn Elchin, Julie Sarver,
  Susan Straight, Pam Gardner and Brett Gardner; 13 great-grandchildren; and daughter in-
  law, Jean DePhillips. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at
  Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev.
  Sherman Berkey officiating. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of
  flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to "In Touch" Hospice, 223 S. Pleasant Ave.,
  Somerset, PA 15501 or the Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O. Box 182, Somerset, PA
