DePhillips, 75, East Main St., Somerset, died June 3, 1989, at Somerset Hospital. Born June 21, 1913, in Potter County, son of the late John and Tonima DePhillips. Preceded in death by a son, Ronald Eugene. Survived by wife of 50 years, the former Helen Tokar, and three children; Terry, Herndon, Va., Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Sarver, Somerset, and Mrs. Larry (Carol Jean) Gardner, Berlin, a daughter-in-law, Jean DePhillips, Somerset RD 1, and 9 grandchildren. Brother of Lucy Foust, Lincoln Park, Mich.; Floyd, Somerset RD 8; and Mrs. Alice Shaffer, Somerset RD 7. Member of United Mine Workers of America. Dragline operator for several coal companies in area, retiring from Pa. Energy Coal Co. Friends were received Sunday and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Wilbur D.
