    Madlyn M. Deremer, 83, of Hyndman, died Feb. 18, 1996, at Meadow View
  Nursing Center in Berlin.
    Deremer was born Aug. 4, 1912, in Fairhope.  She was the daughter of the
  late Harry and Lydia (Suder) Merkel.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
  Harry C. Deremer; four brothers and three sisters.  She was the last
  surviving member of her immediate family.
    She is survived by a son, John Deremer, Warren, Ohio; four grandchildren
  and several nieces and nephews.  Deremer worked at the Celanese Corp. and
  attended Comps Church.
    Friends were received Feb. 20 and 21 at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral
  Home in Hyndman.  Services were conducted Feb. 22 at the funeral home. 
  Pastor Roger D. Huffman officiated.  Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
