Desmond, 87, of Somerset, died April 23, 1989, at Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin. Born Dec. 20, 1901, in Connelsville [sic], son of Sylvester E. and Bertha Wilmina (Dobrick) Desmond. Also preceded in death by wife, Mary Kathryn Bishop; brothers: Lawrence, Raymond, James, Frank and Robert; and sister, Ruth Gray. Survived by sister, Bertha Mae Moore, Indianapolis, Ind.; and sisters-in-law: Mrs. Harold (Helen) Brunberg, Somerset; and Jean Bishop, Somerset RD 7. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset; and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Connelsville [sic] Council. Retired supervisor from the Red Stone Arsenal Missile Base, Huntsville, Alabama. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Monsignor Samuel J.
