Donald "Toot" DeVine, 65, of Somerset RD 7, died April 7, 1994, at home. Born July 5, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Robert and Nellie (Hutchison) DeVine. Preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Survived by wife, the former Esther Pearl Hoffman, and these children: Fred, married to Kathy of Dearborn, Mich.; Mrs. Ken (Bonnie) Mosley of Rich Creek, Va.; Mrs. Tom (Joyce) Hay of Friedens RD 1; Robert, married to Jayne of Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Steven (Sharon) King of Everett RD 7; Mrs. Ollie (Wanda) Shaffer of Somerset RD 5; Donald "Ernie," married to Karen of Gray, and Donna Marie, at home. Also 16 grandchildren. Brother of Robert and John DeVine, Mary Alice Lottie, Barbara Kosis and Shelby Karns. Employed as a truck driver for 30 years. Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Member of American Legion Post 181 and Sipesville Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Danny Bailey officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
