Devlin, 87, of Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, formerly of Somerset, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, in Cumberland Crossings. Born Dec. 4, 1909, in New Salem. The son of the late Walter and Mary Rodgers Devlin, and was the widower of Helen B. Devlin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, M. Juliette Milanese. Survived by three sons: J. Dennis of Pittsburgh; Michael B. of Carlisle, and H. Barrett of Wilson, N.C.; a brother Girard of Bucksport, Maine; also six grandchildren. He was a graduate of Redstone High School, Fayette County, and the University of Notre Dame. He was a special agent for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the St. Patrick Cathilic Church, Carlisle. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the St. Patrick Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Joseph T. Scanlin officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the St. Patrick Cemetery, N. Middleton Township. There will be no viewing or visitation. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 140 E.
