DICKERSON Marian Edna (Clark) Dickerson, beloved wife of Dr. Donald Dickerson of Cristobal, Panama Canal Zone, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark of Meyersdale, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2. Surviving are her husband; two children, Donna Marie Dickerson, a student of St. Mary of the Pines School, Mississippi, and John Clark Dickerson, at home; also these brothers and sisters: Francis, Cuyahoga Falls, O.; Cpl. John Thomas Clark and Sgt. James Brady Clark, with the United States armed forces in England; Pfc. Donald Leo Clark, dental technician in Larson General Hospital, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. William Leslie Stilson, Cristobal, Canal Zone, and Mary, Mrs. Irvin Purnell, Occoquon, Va. Mrs. Dickerson was born in Meyersdale, May 30, 1909, and was graduated from Meyersdale High School, after which she took a course in nursing. After graduating as a registered nurse, she received an appointment as a nurse through the efforts of the late Rep. Samuel A. Kendall and was assigned to the government hospital at Cristobal, where later she was united in marriage with Dr. Dickerson of the United States Medical Corps, stationed there. Dr. and Mrs. Dickerson have had their home in Cristobal ever since. No particulars as to her death and funeral arrangements had been received by her parents at the time of the writing of this obituary, the only news they received being a brief cablegram announcing the mere fact of her passing.
