He was born May 13, 1937, in Black Township, a son of Francis R. and Mary E. (Yowler) Dickey. He is survived by his father, his stepmother, Leora (Kelly) Dickey of Somerset RD 1; his wife, Doris (Mayers) Dickey; two daughters, Theona Faye and Jolene Gaye, both at home; three brothers: Francis J. of Rockwood RD 1; Robert and Donald of Somerset RD; his twin sister, Mrs. Helen Hoyman of Berlin RD 3. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen (Yowler) Dickey in 1966. He was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, where he served as president of the trustees. He was employed by the Somerset County Bookmobile as a driver for the past three years. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, where services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Marlin Miller officiating.
