DICKEY Malchus Sanford Dickey, 77, prominent Somerset Township farmer, died last Saturday evening at 6:35 in the Somerset Community Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in ill health, suffering from a heart condition for a number of years. He was removed to the hospital February 13. Mr. Dickey, who resided near Lavansville, was the son of the late Samuel and Sally Schrock Dickey. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Miller Weller Dickey, daughter of David and Sara Ellen Miller Weller of Somerset Township; these children, Mrs. Edward A. Hanley of Berkley, california; John W., teacher in the State Teachers College in Newark, N.J.; Richard of Somerset R.D. 2; Daniel of Harrisburg; two brothers, W. P. Dickey of Dunn, North Carolina; B. B. Dickey of Berlin and one sister, Mrs. Charles Sechler of New Centerville. A private funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon for only members of the family. Rev. Charles R. Shilke, pastor of the Lavansville Lutheran Church of which he was a member, officiated, assisted by Rev. L. W. Gross, pastor of the Lutheran Church at New Centerville.
