Born Dec. 19, 1895 in Brothersvalley Township, she was a daughter of the late Morgan and Emma (Stuck) Dickey. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Ruth Broesecker and Mrs. Ada Duppstadt, both at home; also a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Hays Mount Zion United Church of Christ, the Hillcrest Grange, the First Society of Farm Women and the Somerset County Retired Teachers' Association. She taught in the elementary schools in Brothersvalley Township for 46 years until her retirement in 1961. She attended Penn State University, California State Teachers College and Indiana University of Pa. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home in Berlin. Services were held in the Hays United Church of Christ with the Rev. Daniel Whiteacre officating assisted by Mr. Harvey stouffer. Interment, Hays Church Cemetery.
