Born July 1, 1914, in Somerset Township, a daughter of George L. Anitta "Nettie" (Morrison) Countryman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jay Donald Dickey who died Nov. 12, 1995; brother Oliver Countryman. Survived by children, Mrs. Jean Marteeny, widow of Robert E. Marteeny, Somerset; Jack S. Dickey, married to the former Debbie Jones, Stephens City, Va.; seven grandchildren: Gregory A. Marteeny, Boyce, Va.; Jeffrey S. Marteeny, Somerset; Scott E. Marteeny, Somerset; Jennifer S. (Dickey) Shank, Grottoes, Va.; John S. and Sam M. Dickey, both of Stephens City, Va.; and nine great-grandchildren. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Graduate of Somerset High School and Windber School of Nursing. Was employed by Somerset Hospital and the former Somerset State Hospital. Member of Somerset Registered Nurses Association and worked with Red Cross blood drives. No viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church (chapel), Somerset. The Rev. Linda McElroy and Rev. Elisa A. Osman officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 400 Luray Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
