ELMER DICKEY Mrs. Ora (Moore) Dickey, 94, formerly of New Centerville, died May 9, 1973, in Allegheny Lutheran Home, Hollidaysburg. She was born June 5, 1878, in Middlecreek Township, a daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Saylor) Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dickey, in 1937; a son, Earl, in 1965; a brother. H. Moore: and two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Kinney and Mrs. Cloy Stoner. Mrs. Dickey is survived by a grandson, Walter Dickey, of Kansas City, Kans.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Susan Dahm, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren. A member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, she was the first person to be baptized in the New Barrons Church on Christmas Day, 1892, and moved her church membership to Messiah Church in 1920. Funeral service was held Saturday afternoon in Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, with Rev. Gene Abel officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 17, 1973 [D0565]
