Born Feb. 20, 1915 in Quemahoning Township, a son of Darius Albert and Estella June (Friedline) Dickson. Preceded in death by parents and three sisters. Survived by his wife, the former Pauline Grace Stahl, to whom he was married 68 years; daughters, Mrs. Dale (Nancy) Mankamyer, Aliquippa; Mrs. Mark (Brenda) Boone, Hudson, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mrs. Michael (Jodi) Wiesen, Clinton; Eric Mankamyer, Aliquippa; John Boone, Stow, Ohio; Katerine Boone, Chesapeake, Md.; Kristin and Laura Boone, Hudson, Ohio; five great-grandsons, Timothy, Daniel, Andrew, Shawn and Jacob. A 1931 graduate of Somerset Area High School and U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a garage mechanic and service manager for Roy H. Shaulis and Son, retiring in 1980. A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset and attended North Branch Presbyterian Church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. The Rev. J. Matthew Deal and the Rev. Marvin Barney officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 202 W.
