Diehl, 86, of Salisbury, died Mar. 22, 1973, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Nov. 22, 1886, in Dauphin County, he was a son of the late George and Jeanette (Moyer) Diehl. Surviving are his wife, the former Mabel Welfley; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Creveling, Syracuse, N.Y.; three grandchildren; a brother, Henry, of Milnesville (Luzerne County); and a sister, Mrs. Velma Schubert of Milton (Northumberland County). A member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, he was a retired maintenance way storekeeper for the central region of Penn Central Railroad. He formerly resided in Sunbury, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. He was a member of Lodge 267, F&AM; Royal Arch Chapter 174, Mt. Herman Commandery 85, and BPOE all of Sunbury; and was a member of Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg. Funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, with Rev. Ernest N.
