Diehl, 92, of Manns Choice RD 1, died Feb. 14, 1990, in Rebecca's Personal Care Home. Born Dec. 2, 1897, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late James A. and Lizzie (Long) Diehl. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer E. Diehl, in 1975; son, Charles; infant son and daughter; grandsons, Terry and Edward; granddaughter, Mary Jane; great-grandson, Courtney; three brothers and two sisters. Survived by these children: Mrs. Dorothy Geller, Schellsburg RD; Paul E. "Beet", Schellsburg; Robert W., married to the former Mildred Imgrund, Bedford RD 5; James A., married to the former Raye Whetstone, Cairnbrook; Stanley R., married to the former Bernice Suttmiller, Manns Choice RD; Edna, wife of Philip Will, Central City; Anita, wife of Donald Mullin of Milton, and Nancy, wife of William Bolinger, Cumberland, Md.; also 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Zella Robb, Schellsburg RD 1; Mrs. Florence Snively, Schellsburg, with whom she resided for 14 years, and Mrs. Edna Speicher, Stoystown. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. H. Wayne Beam officiating.
