   Mary Susan Diehl, 78, of Wellersburg, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at
  Lions Manor Nursing Home.   Born November 5, 1927 in Wellersburg, she was a
  daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Delbrook) Witt.  She was also preceded in
  death by her husband of 60 years, Harold D. Diehl,  on March 28, 1999; a
  brother, Lester E. Witt; and a sister, Ruth M. Clifton.  Surviving are
  children: Dwayne D. Diehl of Cumberland, Md.; Cynthia S. Linn and husband
  Ronnie Jr. of Mount Savage; grandchildren: Kayla Diehl, Ryan Diehl, Jeremy
  Ravenscraft and wife Cassie, Amanda Linn, Veronica Linn; two
  stepgreat-grandchildren: Austin and Teresa; a brother, Leroy C. Witt and wife
  Pat of Frostburg, Md.; sisters: E. Viola Anderson and husband Bob,
  Corriganville, Md.; Carrie G. Wells and husband Thomas, Orefield; Kathleen Beal
  and husband Fritz of Meyersdale.   She worked as a waitress and homemaker. She
  was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ. Friends were received from 7
  to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey H. Zeigler
  Funeral Home, Hyndman. A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the
  funeral home with Rev. Kathleen Mitchell officiating.  Burial followed at
  Restlawn Memorial Park, LaVale, Md. Firemen from the Wellersburg Fire
  Department served as pallbearers. A gathering was held at the Wellersburg Fire
  Hall after the services.
