  DIEHL
  
  William J. Diehl, 78, of Salisbury, died Saturday, at Cumberland, Md.  Born
  Jan. 28, 1896, in West Salisbury, son of the late William H. Diehl and
  Fredericka Gerke Diehl.  Survived by his wife, Daisy K. James; one son,
  James, Bedford, Ohio; two brothers, Joe, of Somerville, N.J., and Earl,
  Somerset; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Glotfelty, Monroeville, Mrs. Edith
  Bowman, Boynton, and Mrs. Joan Brown, Salisbury; and five grandchildren. 
  Was a member of the Salisbury Methodist Church, and Meyersdale Lodge 554, F
  & AM.  Friends are being received at the Thomas Funeral Home, where services
  will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating. 
  Interment Salisbury Cemetery.
