Medical Center in Florida. He was born October 15, 1946, son of the late Leo (Speck) Deist and Elizabeth (Diveley) Deist. Barry is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Diveley Rothgaber and his uncle and aunt, Edward (Bud) and Mary (Beal) Diveley of Johnstown, PA. He attended Meyersdale grade school and was a 1964 graduate of Somerset High School. After graduation, he relocated to the Pittsburgh Area, there he attended Duffs Business Institute. He became a credit manager for the Grants Dept. Stores. He received his Real Estate license and later completed a Computer Programmer course. He was employed by Hud (Housing and Urban Development) for the city of Pittsburgh and county for 29 years. He was active in the dog show circuit for many years. He raised Old English Sheep Dogs, many of whom were champions. He also served as judge on many occasions. In Sept. 1993, Barry moved to Pompano Beach, Florida. He continued his work with Hud and was promoted to Assistant Director of Assets Management. At the time of his death, he resided in Tamarac, Florida. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved to golf. A private committal will be held at a later date.
