  Dorothy E. Diest, 85, Berlin, died Oct. 11, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  March 15, 1921, in Berlin, daughter of Edward and Ada (Coleman) Wyand. Preceded
  in death by parents; son, Harry; and son-in-law, Regis Vanyo. Survived by her
  husband of 65 years, Charles; children, Eleanor Popovich, Falls Church, Va.;
  Carol, married to Barry Fogle, Berlin; Dottie, married to Lee Robinson,
  Woodbridge, Va.; Charles Jr., married to the former Karen Stanczyk, Manns
  Choice; Debbie Vanyo, Irwin; and Barbara, married to Lynn Schrock, Bristow,
  Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mary Ann Wisler,
  Margaret Engle and Kathryn Gumbert, all of Berlin. She is a 1939 graduate of
  Berlin Brothersvalley High School, and a was member of Trinity United Church of
  Christ, Berlin. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will
  be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating. Interment,
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity U.C.C.,
  Berlin, PA 15530.
