He collided with a large bobsled full of men. Another little boy was riding with him, but he is still living. Donald Wayne Dieter was born Nov. 22, 1922 and died March 10, 1932, aged 9 years, 3 months and 18 days. He was a son of Mrs. Clara Dieter and grandson of Cora Burgess of Harnedsville. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, one brother, A. C. Dieter; one sister, Mrs. Harold May; two nieces, Arva Jean and Betty Anna May; one aunt, Mrs. M. G. Starr; three cousins, Kenneth, Harold and Leona Starr. Other relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. James Lingenfield, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Davis, Mather, Pa.; Catherine and Florence McNair, of Reedmore; Mr. and Mrs. James Younkin and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greer and daughter, of Indian Head; Charles Leonard, Nettie Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Russel and Calvin Russell, of Dunbar. It was the largest house funeral ever held in Connellsville. Donald Wayne Dieter was a pupil in the 5th grade of the Connellsville schools. He was very bright in his studies; his teacher loved him and he was very fond of her. He attended the Sunday school of the Church of God. Owing to the sickness of the Church of God minister, Rev. J. L. Lamberson of the M. P. church officiated at the funeral. The burial was in the Hill Grove cemetery. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Six of his playmates were the pallbearers: Jackie Coughenour, Mikey Mishko, Thomas Chrise, William Stoner, Gilbert Carson and William Adams, all of South Arch Street.
