Dietle, aged retired farmer of Greenville Township, died at his home on Christmas night at about 11:30 of coronary stenosis. Mr. Dietle retired in 1926 and had been in ill health for a number of years with a heart condition, and finally passed away in a sudden acute attack. His wife of 54 years, Mrs. Minnie (Sperry) Dietle, was ill with pneumonia at the time, and was unable to attend his funeral. Mr. Dietle was born in Greenville Township, a son of Nicholas and Mary Ann (Rembold) Dietle, on May 26, 1870, and was 76 years, 6 months and 29 days in age at his death. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Mary Merrbach of Route 1, Salisbury; Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Clark of Ravenna, Ohio, and Mrs. Margaret Beutel of Wadsworth, Ohio; four sons: George A., Walter A. and Charles E., all of Akron, Ohio, and James E. Dietle of Dunlo, Pa.; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Dietle of Meyersdale R.D. 3. He was preceded in death by one son, Henry, in 1896. Mr. Dietle was a life long member of the Reformed Church and had been affiliated with St. John's Church in Salisbury the past three years. Funeral services were conducted at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, in the Greenville Lutheran Church, his pastor, Rev. Ira S. Monn, officiating.
