DIETZ BERLIN, Sept. 28 - Martin Lewis Dietz of 1016 E. Main St., Berlin, died Wednesday, Sept. 22. He was born in Shanksville, March 31, 1887, the son of Joseph and Mary Brant Dietz, and was 56 years old at the time of his death. He had been in poor health for about eight years. He was a painter by trade. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Deeter Dietz, and these children: Mrs. Leona Stevanus, Friedens; Mrs. Eleanor Pifer, Pfc. Joseph Dietz, Camp Adair, Ore.; Pfc. Richard Dietz of the U.S. Marine Corps, Ocean Side, Cal., and Edward and Clarence, at home. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Claude Van Order, and a brother, James Dietz, both of Berlin. He was a member of the Jr. O. U. A. M. and the Berlin Fire Department. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m., at his home, followed by burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. N. V.
