Born Dec. 3, 1909, in Bussi, Italy son of Angelo and Adeline (DiGianvincenzo) DiFrancesco. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Lena Ruis, brothers: Carmen and Tiberi, and sisters: Emma Leone and Margaret Lebda. Survived by these children: Janice married to Curt Rhodes, Bellona, N.Y. and Edwin married to the former Suzanne Ash, Boswell. Grandchildren: Stefan and wife Chastity, Justin, Janine and Eric DiFrancesco and Michael Friedline, great-granddaughters: Chloe and Connie and brother-in-law: Michael Lebda. Also many loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. World War II Navy veteran serving on the USS Belleau Wood aircraft carrier. Retired coal miner and carpenter. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, Thirteen Star VFW, Hooversville, and UMWA. He was also an avid golfer. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, 976 Barn St., Hooversville where Vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville. Rev. Romulus Rosolowski, OFM Conv. officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
